For years, I looked outside myself for the answers. I read the books, searched the internet, studied and listened to plenty of advice. Some of it was useful, but I often found myself back where I started when the next parenting challenge came along.
What I eventually discovered was that I didn’t need another parenting manual. I needed space to think, to untangle the advice, understand my reactions and reconnect with my own wisdom. That discovery changed the way I parented and ultimately changed the direction of my career.
Today, I help parents find that same clarity, particularly when separation or divorce brings an additional layer of complexity to family life.
I have a Master’s in Psychology and am a certified Time to Think® Coach, a qualified Transformational Coach and an accredited Triple P® Practitioner. But perhaps more importantly, I’m a parent too. I know that real family life is messy, joyful, exhausting and unpredictable, and that nobody gets it right all the time.
Parenting after divorce can bring a whole new set of challenges, supporting your children through big emotions and significant change while navigating your own feelings, differences in parenting styles and the complexities of co-parenting. It can be difficult to know what to do when emotions are running high, communication has become strained, or you and your co-parent see things very differently.
When parenting feels complicated, having the space to really think can make all the difference. I offer a psychologically informed, non-judgemental approach to help you gain perspective, understand your responses and work out what will best support you and your family.
Together, we’ll work on:
I won’t give you a rigid set of rules or a programme to follow. Instead, I’ll help you understand what is happening, reconnect with your own wisdom and develop the awareness and confidence to respond in a way that feels right for you and your family.
The aim is to help you handle the challenges while keeping your children’s needs at the heart of things and without losing sight of your own wellbeing.
You can expect to feel less stressed and reactive, and more grounded, clear and confident. You’ll develop a stronger sense of how you want to parent, greater confidence in handling difficult moments, and clearer ways to communicate and co-parent, even when your relationship with the other parent remains challenging.
“I would recommend Caroline to other parents who want space to talk and help working with the children they love to make life better all round. She made a real difference to us at a difficult time, and we really appreciate it.” Sylvie
“I just wanted to thank you for such an enlightening and helpful coaching session...something has shifted in my consciousness since our session - almost like a release, and I'm finding it so much easier to deal with my daughter! It really has helped so much” Ali
“Caroline has made me understand my (not so little) darlings and see the world from their perspective; crucially, she then showed me the tools to navigate and avoid conflict with them, to recognise the triggers that cause these conflicts and how to defuse communication pinch points. I truly believe I’ve become a calmer and more in control parent.” Miranda
