About Brenda

Brenda Long is an experienced family law solicitor. She qualified in 1990 and has been a Partner at Blandy & Blandy since 1995. She has considerable experience and advises on the whole range of issues arising out of new relationships or relationship breakdown, including those relating to care of and financial support for children, enforcement of orders, and variation of maintenance applications. She is particularly experienced at advising on and drafting Pre-Nuptial Agreements, which aim to protect assets on marriage or civil partnership. In addition, Brenda advises on the complex area of law relating to cohabitees. This includes drafting cohabitation agreements and declarations of trust to document the position at the start of a relationship, as well as acting for one party when making or faced with claims by a former partner.

Brenda is a member of Resolution and The Law Society’s Family Panel. She is a qualified Family Mediator and is a trained Collaborative Lawyer. Brenda is also a recommended individual in The Legal 500 and Chambers UK and has featured in the Citywealth Leaders List. She has appeared on Sky News as a family law expert and has written articles for Family Law Journal and other leading publications.
