I am a qualified Reflexologist and member of the Association of Reflexologists (AOR), and can offer you a wonderful way to relax and let go of stress at such a difficult time in your life. During a reflexology treatment I am there to support your well-being, and there are no expectations of you, so you are free to enjoy time to yourself and succumb to the feeling of deep relaxation it creates; indeed the biggest compliment to a reflexologist is if you fall asleep! I work on a mobile basis in SW London, so you can make yourself comfortable at home, and there is no need to travel afterwards. Many of my clients report an ongoing feeling of relaxation following a treatment, also helping them to sleep well afterwards, which is something you may be struggling with during or following a divorce.
Reflexology is an enjoyable, non-invasive, holistic therapy using specialist massage techniques applied to reflexes corresponding to organs of the body, and which have been mapped to the feet. With its origins in ancient China and Egypt, modern reflexology was developed by Dr William Fitzgerald who first noted the pain-relieving effects on other parts of the body, when applying pressure to reflex points on the hands and feet. His techniques were further advanced by his associates and students, leading to reflexology as it is commonly now practised in the UK. Some further, more recent studies have also shown the effects of relaxation from reflexology treatments. As so many modern health concerns have their roots in stress, reducing stress and helping to support the body when dealing with stress, are important for your health. Reflexology aims to rebalance your body, promoting a sense of well-being, and reducing feelings of stress and anxiety. It can be enjoyed on a one-off basis or as part of a course of treatments.
“I was going through a very stressful period in my life when I started going to Jeanette for reflexology treatments. I found it to be extremely relaxing, and noticed that I felt calmer for the rest of the day, sleeping really well at night too. As I continued the treatments on a semi-regular basis I always looked forward to it, knowing how great I would feel afterwards! On a side note I also experienced a noticeable improvement in my feet, which had previously been quite painful at times. I would recommend Jeanette and reflexology, to everyone as I love it!”
