About Katie

I am Head of the Children Law team at Hall Brown Family Law, a specialist family law firm with offices in Manchester, London and Yorkshire. Hall Brown is one of very few family law firms that has a specialist, dedicated Children Law team whose lawyers solely deal with resolving disputes in relation to children.

Our cases include resolving childcare arrangements between parents following separation, cases involving mental health issues or domestic abuse, relocation (within and outside of England and Wales), wardship and child abduction. I help parents, step-parents, grandparents and extended family members.

I predominantly practiced children law from the outset of my career and have now built a strong reputation in this field and have a wealth of experience. I am known for my meticulous preparation, my clear and structured advice and being resolute in achieving the best outcome for my client.

I am also known for my supportive and understanding approach at what is one of the most difficult times in client’s lives.

My focus, and that which I instil in my team, is to keep the child at the forefront and to help clients look at things the same way. If possible, I look at out-of-Court options to limit or prevent conflict and distress.

When Court proceedings are required, the same approach is taken but clients are always confident that they will be represented in the strongest terms.
